It was a beautiful day to participate and view all the various vintages and marques on the north parking lot of Harper College in Palatine, IL. This year there was a record turnout of over 550 cars — 135 of these MGs — and over 1600 visitors. Quite a turnout. In addition to the cars and vendors the visitors were treated with ‘valve cover races’ and the roving Scottish dancers.

The British Car Festival is organized by the British Car Union, which is a non-profit founded in 1986. It consists of representatives from 20 different Chicagoland British car clubs whose sole purpose is to coordinate the events critical to making the British Car Festival a success each September.
