The British theme continued with Jolly Posh, our regular British food vendor for several years, and of course the esteemed Daughters of the British Empire with their hand-made specialties. Hopefully they will bring back their popular tea and scones next year.
Robinson’s Ribs again rejoined the tasty mix of food vendors, which also include Chicago-style hot dogs and polishes and fresh-squeezed lemonade featured by Terri Shafer, of Small’s Sweets and Treats, who you may remember from the Swap Meet every year, and John Murphy of Brainfreeze, bringing ice cream and sodas, and of course the Boy Scouts. Morning coffee and donuts will hopefully be stocked by the Boy Scouts next year, along with their usual sodas and water, which

they are supposed to go mobile with on wagons.
The other thing to look for would be the YouTube videos and photo montages. We have several on-line and I saw a small plane and a big drone over the field this year.
We came to a goose-poop speckled vacant parking lot, and when it was over, all that was left were the ubiquitous smattering of oil spots everywhere. You could tell the Chicagoland British motor fleet had been there: 500 mostly vintage British cars of all marques, avid fans, great food, the bagpipers, and vendors of all sorts in a day long British Car Festival that has occurred every First Sunday after Labor Day for the past 31 years. This is not just a car show, it is a true festival!
