What is the activity?
We'll be doing some winter preparation and oil changes on the cars of the clients of Journeys from PADS to HOPE. Some back ground on this new event can be found in the last paragraph of the Driving Events Column, Directions. Services that we will provide are: oil and filter change, check battery and clamps/cables, top off brake/clutch fluid, fill up windshield washer, and pump up tires.

Dave's is located in the North East Corner of Elmhurst Road and Palatine Road, It is only accessible from Elmhurst Road because the intersection is bi-level with the express lanes of Palatine Road on an overpass.
When?

12:00 Noon until 5:00 PM
Dave's has three lifts and clients have been signed-up in 30 minute intervals. That means that we can service up to 30 cars between noon and five and need help during the entire afternoon. The beginning will probably be the busiest time so please consider coming at 12:00 noon but just a couple of hours will be helpful if you can't be there for the whole time. And when you're around at 5:00 PM, we will clean-up Dave's Auto Clinic and go for a pint and a bite at a local pub or bar. Information on that to follow.

CMGC and VMGCC Combined Holiday Party - December 4, 2010
 The Chicagoland MG Club and the Vintage MG Car Club of Chicago are working together again for the 2010 Chicagoland MG Holiday Party. Can you think of a better way to start the Holiday Season than to enjoy a couple of drinks, dinner, some gifts, and maybe even another performance of the Abingdon Players together with all of your Chicago area MG friends?
The party will be on Saturday December 4, 2010 at 6:30 PM at Elmcrest Banquets by Biancalana's, 7370 W Grand Avenue, Elmwood Park IL 60707 - 708-453-3989. There is valet parking at the facilities parking lot, right across the street.
The cost for members of both clubs is $35.00/person, and both clubs will subsidize the evening a little bit. The Cash Bar will open at 6:30 and dinner will be served at 7:30. Dinner is the same for all and includes soup and salad for starters, followed by pasta, then chicken and beef with potatoes and vegetables for the family style main course, and Italian ice cream for desert. Please mark the registration form for the vegetarian option.
After the dinner we'll have an, optional, gift exchange. We encourage every guest to bring a small MG or Holiday gift (there is no real minimum or maximum but about $10 is a good guideline) When you bring a MG or Holiday gift, you are also getting one from a fellow member. The order of selecting will be determined by drawing raffle tickets.
After the formal program you are also invited to join us at TJ's Halftime, a small sports bar just down the road. It is only 1 mile west of Elmcrest on Grand Avenue (but the name of the town changes to River Grove) The designated driver of each vehicle should be able to find a parking spot at their lot.
