Libertyville, followed by a flat trailer tire in the late-night rain back in Naperville. On Monday the 16th we stopped to visit Gerard Geraci at his "office" in Winfield (nice office with large shop space), did a little tinkering with valve lash on his MGA Twin Cam, changed gearbox and differential oil in my MGA, and then dashed off to the CMGC club meeting in the evening. Next day a mid-morning appointment with Matthew Shemluck in Hawthorn Woods for a little carburetor adjustment on his '74 MGB, and discussion about how to restore fuel vapor

recovery, anti-run-on, and crankcase ventilation. In the evening I got the new keyboard installed on my computer, so I could get back to normal typing. On the 20th we got more new tires on the trailer, as the last set only made a bit over 10,000 miles, blame it on cheap tires and bad roads in Alaska and Canada. 11 in Wisconsin, and no less than 62 in Illinois this month, I think a total of 86 shops in the past 30 days. You will have to visit my web site for all those details and hundreds of photos. But we're getting there. My crib sheet says we have already visited 557 shops from over 800 on our list, tinkered with 385 cars, and visited 264 car clubs.
By the time you read this we will have been on the road for 3-1/2 years, about 138,000 miles, and we have a pretty good idea where the next 40,000 miles is going in the next year. For now, we are heading in the general direction of North and South Carolina to visit some more shops that have so far eluded us.
