Monthly Meeting Minutes

CMGC Secretary Victor L’Heureux opened the meeting at 8:02 pm while president Dave Novak was on business out of the country.
Car Projects
No car projects or works in progress were report this month. Dino Perez noted that he has on a couple of occasions used a device to assist stranded motorists with a dead battery. The device is small and takes less space than a set of jumper cables
and easier to use. The device is the PowerAll Jump Starter. This small unit packs 12,000 mAh of Lithium ion battery power capable of jump-starting a vehicle twenty times on a full charge. It also functions as a portable power bank with two 5V/2.1A USB ports. The unit that Dino has, came with a carrying case for easy storage. The unit is available via Amazon or Wal-Mart for around $65.
CMGC Staff position nominations
It was noted that all the CMGC staff positions are up for election and asked for additional nominations from the floor. Nominations to date are:
Secretary – Victor L’Heureux (accepted nomination)
Treasurer – Phil Wydra (accepted nomination)
Vice President – Jim Compton (accepted nomination)
President – Ray Hansen (accepted nomination)
Nominations were closed and ballots will be sent to the membership in December.

Break/ 50:50 raffle – CMGC member – Mike Cobb -- was the winner of $35.
Staff Reports
Library – Bill Mennell noted that there have not been any changes to the library. He asked if anyone has outstanding books to return them at their earliest convenience.
Finance – Phil Wydra reported $8,639 in checking, $14,234 in savings for a total of $22,873.
Driveline – Victor L’Heureux asked for additional articles with pictures to be submitted for publication. Recommended any stories of restoration in progress or info on their cars of interest.
Driving Coordinator – Reinout Vogt noted that the race is close for the Driving & Competition trophies. There are still one more driving opportunity left this season. Check out the on-line calendar or the Driveline.
Membership – Victor L’Heureux noted that the membership count has increased to 236 members.
Regalia – George Phariss noted that the long awaited CMGC window stickers are on order and should be available soon.
With no further business to discuss, the meeting was closed at 9:01 pm.
