Monthly Meeting Minutes

30 Members in attendance
CMGC President Ray Hansen opened the meeting at 8:00 pm and welcomed a new guest Rob Weinstein. Rob is the owner of a black on Red 1955 MG TF.
Car Projects
Phil Wydra completed a radiator replacement.
Dean Hickenlooper noted the V8 conversion is almost complete.
Pat Guest asked for some advice on an existing problem. It appears there is no clearance between the fan pulley and the steering rack to remove a fan belt. It appears the engine has moved forward on it’s mounts and closing the gap. Several suggestions were made.
Pete Psiharis noted the jittery speedometer problem has been corrected by replacing the cable along with the angle driver at the transmission.

November 5 – Fall Tune-down, Dave Bralich
November 23 – Cruise to the Rock, Ann Snyder noted there were no problems this year despite the rumors of construction at the site.
Upcoming Driving/Social Event Schedule (additional details of these events are in the December Driveline issue)
December 3 – Holiday Party. Ralph noted the venue is the same and reservations will be limited. Only a few openings available.
January 19-21 -- Amtrak Road Trip
June 17-22 – NAMGBR MG2018 in Gettysburg, PA.

Staff Elections
President Ray Hansen opened the floor for staff nominations.
Dean Hickenlooper accepted the nomination for President, Existing remaining staff members accepted nominations for their respective positions for another term. Nominations were closed.
Break/ 50:50 raffle
CMGC member Steve Sparks was the winner of $24. Additional awards were: Mike Hirsch Igloo cup; Tim Schafer, Old Speckled Hen drink cozies; Jake Snyder, CMGC lapel/hat pin.
Staff Reports
Membership - Victor L’Heureux - Membership is holding at 265.
Library – Bill Mennell -No report
Driveline - Victor L’Heureux – No report.
Treasurer Report – Finances are healthy with $6,458 checking, $19,238 savings for a total of $25,696.
New Business
Dave Bralich made a motion for the CMGC staff to address the bylaws concerning the need for voter ballots when the election for CMGC officers is uncontested. President Ray Hansen acknowledged the motion and will put it on the staff agenda for 2018.
With no new business to discuss, president Ray Hansen closed the meeting at 9:06 pm.
