Santa (sort of) joins the CMGC party -- Ralph Arata (Santa), John Kearns (Elf), Victor L’Heureux (MC)
My favorite event was the combined CMGC and Vintage MG Club Christmas party which Susan & I chaired. This was the largest gathering of MG faithful in the year and always fun. Of course, Santa and one of his elves always showed up. There was always a skit which was fun & funny!

Over the years we have made good friends with many of the current club members and have had several visits with us in Tennessee. Of course, if any members are in the Knoxville area our policy is “open door.” We also have a number of CMGC members that have joined us living down here, i.e., the McCullum’s, the LaFond’s and the Vogt's (Reinout and Henneke are close in Atlanta).

I have already written about the Blount (county) British Car Club which is a great club. With 70 members approx., it’s not as big as the CMGC but very active, and coordinates events with 3 other British car club in eastern Tennessee. As good as this club is I am not sure we will achieve the number and level of friendships we have in the CMGC.

Who is that masked creature from the deep grabbing that woman?

The Beer, Wine & Cheese tours were extra special for me due to the extra effort Russ & I put into planning this trip. I am so happy that Russ & Amy have kept these tours up and that they are planning the 2.5-day tour for ’23. I think I am going to call Russ and plan some time freeloading at their place so he and I can team up again for this trip.

Everything about this weekend affair is special i.e., the numbers of participants, the evening socials in the parking lots, the restaurants and of course the driving!!
