Klairmont Kollections Automotive Museum
January 21, 2023, 11:00 a.m.
We received an open invitation from Larry Claypool of the local Corvair Club (Chicagoland Corvair Enthusiasts). He has set up a group admission to the Klairmont Kollection on Jan 21st starting 11am. This is open to pretty much any local car club member. Although this is not a sanctioned CMGC activity, this could be a fun outing as individuals.
ABOUT: The Klairmont Kollections Automotive Museum is in the heart of Chicago. Founded by a WWII veteran and entrepreneur, Larry Klairmont. This automotive museum is one of the Midwest’s finest car collections with over 300 historical and eclectic cars on display.
LOCATED: The museum is located halfway between O'Hare Airport and Downtown Chicago, is located at:
3117 N Knox, Chicago 60641 - just east of Cicero Ave & south of Belmont. Free parking!
COST: $15 admission
CONTACT: There is no quota, but he needs a headcount before the date. Any CMGC member who wants to attend should call Larry at 815-603-8556 to get on the list of attendees.
Klairmont Kollections Automotive Museum is the ideal location for a quick visit or to spend the entire afternoon.
I haven't been there myself but have intended to do so for some time. The website (klairmontkollections.com) makes it look pretty interesting for an otherwise dreary Saturday afternoon.
