Chicagoland MG Club: Driveline February 2020
Feature Event

Taking a much-needed break during the 3-hour visit

Lunch was a few blocks north in an Irish pub, where we sat outside on the sidewalk under a canvas arrangement heated with large overhead electric units. The food was good and the beverages memorable. And we followed that just a few hours later at Piggy’s, one of the restaurants renowned in the area.

A quick check on cabs Saturday morning had assured us that there would be no cab service on Sunday morning. (Where they still bringing patrons back from bars?) But the hotel made arrangements with another hotel to have us ferried to the Amtrak station on Sunday morning, and everyone got there with plenty of time to enjoy the perfectly maintained classic train station.

The trip back was uneventful and notable only in that it arrived about a half hour early. And that there was still a lot of food and drink passed around until everyone was stuffed and saturated.
