An ‘Auto’biography of History
A postcard from Letcombe Regis with a SA Tourer with body work by coach builder Charlesworth. Letcombe Regis is a small village in Oxfordshire, just South of Abingdon (less than 15 miles).
In 2011 there were 578 people, so how many could there have been in the late 30’s when this SA rolled out of the factory. But one of them had this beautiful MG, which was one of Abingdon’s pre-war, large luxurious, 4- or 6-cylinder, passenger cars. They were the SA and WA with straight six engines and the smaller VA which was four-cylinder powered.
