So, THRILLED to be past February….the COLDEST & SNOWEST month we have had this winter!! Spring is just around the corner….TIME TO WAKE UP our MG cars and get them out for a LONG OVERDUE DRIVE!!!!!!
Bill Mennell (aka: Wilbur) is counting on seeing MANY of you at the Spring tune up on Saturday April 17th at Don’s Auto Ade in Warrenville, IL. All the details are in this month’s issue.
There are 2 (two) MG Events Coming up in May.
* One is the Car Care Safety Clinic for Seniors hosted by Jim Vondran. This is scheduled for Saturday May 8th.
* The second event is the Chicken Run Rally hosted by Ray and Sue Hansen. This is tentatively scheduled for Sunday May 23rd.
Make sure to jot these dates down on your calendar! More information to come on these in next month’s driveline.

March 13th Daylight saving time begins. Hooray! More daylight!
March 20 the sun shines on the equator for the Vernal Equinox, giving us a near 50/50 split of day and night.
The “Ides of March” was a day in the Roman calendar equivalent to March 15th. It was considered a deadline for settling debts. It was also the day Julius Caesar was assassinated.
The first month of spring is March, which starts between the 19th and the 21st.
March is the time of year when animals start waking up from hibernation.

Saint Patrick’s Day occurs every March 17th, celebrated in many western countries to commemorate the day Saint Patrick died. MANY PEOPLE will remember to wear Green on this day….EVERYONE IS IRISH ON ST. PATTY’S DAY!!!
Statistically, March is the most unproductive month of the year in the U.S. This is the result of “March Madness” which is the season of NBA. Some companies lose up to $1.9 billion in wages paid to workers who were not productive, and instead spent company time on betting on NBA games.
It was on 29 March 1886 that Coca-Cola was developed. The original formula included a small amount of cocaine to give the drinker a bit of a buzz.
