EDITOR’S CORNER

Sometimes good things happen from bad events. The COVID-19 virus has caused a lot of hardship for small business folks (and lots of others for that matter). I’m retired but I still work part-time to pay for my car and other fun things. Since I work at a Seniors independent living facility, I am considered required personnel. My days of work are now Thursday through Saturday, leaving me at home for Sunday through Wednesday. Not bad – 3 days on, 4 days off. Lot more time to get the cars in my garage in working order before our Driving season begins.

Driving Season? What is that? Unfortunately, many of the upcoming events are falling victim to the virus. It looks like we will need to take personal drives cruising those roads less traveled, making the best of a bad situation. With the weather getting warmer, a top-down trip to northwestern Illinois is in order. See you on the road – at least 6 feet away!

See you on the road…
