Chicagoland MG Club: Driveline April 2021
Upcoming events

Spring Tune-up
Saturday April 17, 2021, 12noon-4PM

Now is the winter of our discontent, made glorious summer by these sons of Abingdon! Not quite the way The Bard said it in Richard III, but then he didn’t know much about MGs. But it means the same thing, winter is on the wane and summer is neigh. Just my way of bringing a little culture to the unwashed masses. You know the type, Triumph owners and people who put ketchup on hot dogs. Just kidding about the TR folks, we love all LBCs and their owners. But as for the ketchup, well that’s a different story, they just don’t have any class. When it comes to class, some of us have it and some of us don’t. And Deb says I’m just full of it. Or is she talking about something else?

After the annus horribilis (no, that’s not naughty) of 2020 it should be enjoyable to get together with some of our MG friends. And perhaps even get some bugs worked out of your car. We will follow the same format as in years past, just remember to bring your own oil and filters. At this time it does not appear that we will head to a local afterwards. More info can be found in last month’s Driveline.

Speaking of last month’s driveline, let me apologize to Punxsutawney Phil, for questioning his forecasting skills. That little rodent is a much better weather prognosticator than I. Just after I wrote last month’s piece the season changed and the weather turned glorious. But that’s what they say about February, in like a lion and out like a lamb. Or is that March?
