COVID-19 did not hold the Chicagoland MG Club back as we came together (of course practicing social distancing) to wish my mom, Diana Gonzales a Happy Birthday.

Our destination was Del Webb in Huntley, IL. What a wonderful response for this event, 16 cars showed up! Some members with their MGs and others in everyday cars. It was an spectacular sight and I'm sure many residents in the community won't forget.




We met outside at one of Del Webb's parking lots and formed a caravan to my mom's house. Boy was she surprised when we pulled up to her house. There were handmade signs, we honked our horns and sang happy birthday. Her neighbors came out of their houses, wondering what was going on and taking photos of the cars. My mom's speech was filled with gratitude and love for everyone.

Let us not forget we are family. We did a couple of more laps around the block for the neighbors and sped off before the rain came down. Not even a pandemic keeps us from celebrating!
