Hi Everyone!!!!

The Driving Gods are hearing our calls – the weather in April has had some SPECTACULAR days!!!
Let’s hope Mother Nature smiles upon us in May as well because we have 2 events this month!

Before I talk about those events, I would like to recap on the Spring Tune up, hosted and organized by Bill (Wilbur) Mennell which took place on Saturday, April 17th. There were 19 members that showed up and 17 cars, consisting of: TF, TD, MGA, MGBs, GT’s and a Midget. Sounds like it was a GREAT time and gathering!! The write up is in this month’s issue.

Another “Other event” took place on Saturday, May 24th – “A RIVER RUNS THROUGH IT” – sponsored by the MG Club of St. Louis – the 2021 Missouri Endurance Rally. I believe Steve Skegg encouraged members from our club to participate in this event and may have details on the results in this month’s driveline. Sounded like a BLAST!!!!

Just a reminder - TheCar Care Safety Clinic for Seniors hosted by Jim Vondran will take place on Saturday May 8th. Jim is looking forward to seeing many of you out there again to help the seniors with their cars!!!

Our VERY 1st DRIVING EVENT (Rally) is coming up this month, Sunday, May 23rd - The revival of the famous Chicken Rally is Hosted & Organized by Ray & Sue Hansen. I am hoping many of you will attend this AWESOME event!! MARK YOUR CALENDARS for a beautiful ride and get ready for “somewhat” of challenging questions on this Rally!!!!!!! There is a detailed announcement in this month’s driveline.

Looking forward into June, it is NOW OFFICIAL!!! I AM SO EXCITED FOR THIS NEW EVENT!!!! Ray Costa is hosting and organizing The Lake County Fun Run on Sunday, June 6th. This event sounds like a blast!! All details will be featured in this month’s driveline as well.

The MG International 202 is scheduled for Monday, June 14th – Thursday June 17th in Atlantic City, NJ. If you are up for the drive – this will be a FANTASTIC event to attend.
I apologize for calling that the wrong name in my last article as well as announcing the
GOF Central, which is still not determined but still may be scheduled for Wednesday June 23rd –Saturday June 26th in Marshall, Michigan.

That’s it for now…..LOOKING SO FORWARD TO SEEING MOST OF YOU AT THE CHICKEN RALLY!!!!!! Have a WONDERFUL MEMORIAL DAY and to all our MG MOM’S…….
