Spring Tune-up
Saturday April 17, 2021, 12noon-4PM

Before I begin this necropsy of our past event, let me give thanks to those who made it possible; Craig from Don’s Auto Ade for allowing the use of his shop, and Sam and Nate for sticking around to make sure that we didn’t get into any trouble. Also, Ann & Jake Snyder, and Dave ‘Cowboy’ Bralich for coming in non-MGs (with various tools) to act as ‘pit bosses’ for the afternoon. And Kevin Carlson for the pizzas.

Perhaps we should change the name of this event as no one did any tune-up work, just oil changes and inspections. Jake was so disappointed, he was looking forward to adjusting somebody’s valves, just to keep in practice. With the exception of finding some loose and missing nuts on the manifold studs of one member’s car (remedied) no issues were noted. The TD received a front-end alignment, and Doug Clark gave us a talking tour of modifications made to his TF, or as he called it, ‘show and tell.’
