There are several tasks in maintaining our LBCs – many of us concentrate on the engine and drive train – because it’s ‘right there under the bonnet’ for all to see and admire. The exterior also gets the attention (great paint job!). But there are other areas of maintenance that need attention – namely brake systems and steering mechanisms. I’m going to start first with the Steering system in month’s this issue and follow up with brake systems in later issues. Of course the MG Maintenance Manual has more in-depth information, but this should ‘whet your appetite’ to investigate further this important system.
