9th Annual Westmont Cruisin' Nights

The weather couldn’t have been better for this event. Jeff and I, along with a few other MG members, arrived early to beat the late afternoon traffic. Bill and Jean set up Bocce Ball and a Bean Bag Toss for us to play until the event started. Phil Law won at Bocce Ball and Dean Hickenlooper won at the Bean Ball Toss.

MG was well represented - 25 in total which included models YB, RV8, MGA, MGB, MGB-GT, Midget, TC, TD and TF. I estimated that around 300 cars were lined up and down Cass Ave., so we definitely had the largest group showing of one marque!

Bill had printed out a walking tour of the show area along Cass Ave. with an array of questions for us to answer (how many fire hydrants are there, name of Korean BBQ, etc.). It was fun to search for the answers while checking out all of the other cars along the street. We also had to identify 8 MG parts that were placed around Bill and Jean’s office.



While some of the answers noted were correct, other answers submitted were ‘this part hasn’t broken on my car yet so don’t know what it is’ to ‘shiny chrome piece’. I think extra points should have been given for creative thinking!!!
