EDITOR’S CORNER

Time is getting away from me recently. Here it is October and the past month was a whirlwind of non-car activity. I had to move my cars out of the garage to make room for Suzanne’s boxes of stuff moved from her townhouse. We spent the past month placing the furniture and its contents into our house and making plans for the wedding reception we held last week with as many guests the restaurant COVID guidelines would allow.

Now that the garage has some open space, I’m moving my green MGB back into the garage to continue the refurbishment. New tires are on the agenda. I need to mount the car on jack stands and remove the tires to get them changed out at Don’s Auto Ade in Warrenville. The next project is to work on replacing the flattened hydraulic line and redo the brakes. Hopefully I can complete these projects before the weather turns nasty and my thoughts diverse to indoor house projects.

I have to admit, I have had more leisure driving time in my Tesla than the MGB recently. Seeing the memories article written by Ralph Arata (this month’s Driveline), I too miss the club driving events and the comradery of the CMGC members. Hope to get together – in person – soon.

See you on the road…
