Wine, Cheese & Beer Tour
Sunday, October 10, 2021
This year's WCB Tour is going to be a Wine Cheese Beer STOP. Unlike prior multi-day and multistop tours, this will be a one day event on Sunday, October 10. Our route will take us to familiar areas and routes of prior Tours and the STOP will have Wine, Cheese, and Beer - and food (for purchase). The end will be near the Wisconsin/Illinois border, close to Interstate 94 and other backroads home..
PLACE: Starting location will be at the Deer Park Mall, (Rand Road and Quentin) in Deer Park (park near Starbucks). This is the same start place as Ray & Sue Hansen's Chicken Rally. (Props to the Hansen's that we don't have to learn something new).
Drivers Meeting will be PROMPTLY at 9:00 AM on Oct 10 at the Starbucks at Deer Park. Departure is No Later Than 9:30 AM, so please be prompt.
Amy and I drove the entire route today and it is EXCELLENT... if I do say so myself. If you have been fortunate to have attended prior WCB Tours, you will recognize familiar roads and some new ones. If you have not been with us yet, you will have a most enjoyable ride with the rest of us! This is all about enjoying The Drive and the "MG Roads" without questions, timing, testing, or besting other cars.
You need to plan on an approximate 5 hour drive including stops from starting point to ending point. The end point will be at Mars Cheese Castle (Rt 142 and I-94, Kenosha, WI) where there is Wine, Cheese, and Beer - in one STOP! Check your maps for your route home from there.

Triad Fall Car Care Safety Clinic for Seniors
October 16, 2021 — 8 a.m. to 12 noon
It’s hard to believe that summer flew by so quickly. On Saturday,
October 16th, we will be performing our pre-winter vehicle checks for our senior
drivers. The location is Lisle Township, 4711 Indiana Ave, Lisle, IL 60532 from
8:00 a.m. to noon. These clinics, held in Spring and Fall each year, get larger each time it’s held.
As always, an operation like this requires volunteers to help with the inspections. Chicagoland MG club members have
always been a key element to the success of these events, serving on vehicle inspection teams as well as displaying their vehicles
for our seniors. Please set aside a few hours to participate in this fun-filled, yet very important service. Call or email me if you
can participate.
Thanks so much in advance. I hope to hear from you soon! Jim Vondran—cell 630.234.7102
