“When the frost is on the pumpkin” is an old weather saying referring to the onset of winter. What about SNOW on the pumpkin? Yeah, that is what happened recently. Of course, my MG is still outside waiting for me to clear a space in the tandem 4-car garage.
The garage is a warm haven for all kinds of stuff – recently added was the personal items of Suzanne moved from her townhouse in early June. This is in addition to my existing ‘stuff’ from my downsizing 6 years ago! You know the saying, the bigger the space, the more stuff it seems to attract. It is just sooo hard to part with all my past treasures.
Now I am on a mission. I need to get at least two cars into the garage for winter. I hope to reduce my car harem soon to a manageable size – that would mean selling a project car, and a sedan. That would leave me with the Jeep (for hauling junk out and new parts in), a driving MGB, a project MGB and my fun new car - Tesla Model S Roadster.
In the past, I have always been able to make an excuse for not having time to address the garage clutter issue – MG tours and rallies, family outings, etc. But now with all the COVID travel restrictions, I am finding myself sequestered at home doing small projects. With all my free time, I guess I’ll have to face the garage. Wish me luck!
See you on the road…
