The heater and box are before and after. The finished product doesn't just look new, it actually is new. Totally restored!

The project is in its 7th month and will consume over 1,500 hours to completion. The CAR was painted a mesmerizing midnight blue. Paint so artistically applied that it shimmers. (See photos on page 15)

Dennis does have some other Es. He has a grey 1964 fixed head coupe and a 100-point Meadowbrook winner 1961 flat floor (OTF) convertible. It's hard to imagine the motivation behind all the work......the blood, sweat and tears, that went into this E-Type virtually bringing it back from death.

The front suspension had to be one of the most daunting tasks on the car. Pat removed it from the framing and then meticu-lously took it apart piece by piece placing all parts on the floor for examination. Each piece was inspected for metallurgy strength and geometry. If there were parts that needed machining or replacement this was done. Finally, they were painted /reassembled for placement back on the car

These pictures show the finished engine including a shot looking through the front of the grill. You can the meticulous work

So, I asked Dennis where he plans to show it first. He said "nowhere" because the car is virtually re-manufactured right down to fasteners. I said "OK" well will it be your driver then? He said "NO" because he will not "blemish" the paint. I said, "if not showing or driving it why all the work? Dennis looked at me and smiled and then said..... "it was one of the earliest 4.2 litre E-Type out of Coventry, England, in 1965!"

PS - This is my editor's unverified account that this was the #2 E-Type out of Coventry England in 1965. All I can say is "WOW"!
