In the co-driver's
or navigator standings, Vicki Palmer and Diane Tonry are now tied
for first place, and note the ties for 2nd and 3rd as well.
Although this
summer has presented as much MG top down touring weather as we may
expect, I do miss some of previous year's rallies. As you know,
the Gooselake Picnic & Rally and the North Shore Rally have
disappeared from the calendar. And despite the busy summer with
several 'other' events (the last University Motors Late Summer Party,
an extra Autocross, the Driving School, and the Just Brits Picnic)
I would like to hear from you if we should try to put some more
rallies in the 2000 summer months, or would you prefer non-competitive
driving events, such as dinner cruises ?
Further, I
have received a couple of suggestions to change the point systems;
to even the chances in Autocrosses, and to offer more equal opportunities
to win rallies in general. Also for this I would like to know what
your ideas are; are changes necessary, if so, what would you like
to see. Keep in mind, this is your club, your championship and your
Rallies and Autocrosses. Please let me hear from you !
MGreetings
and see you at The British Car Festival or more importantly, The
Siemens Autocross on October 17th, The Halloween Rally on November
7th or in the next newsletter and remember,
