2024 Spring – Triad Car Care Safety Clinic for Seniors, May 11th

The safety clinic provides a free 40-point safety inspection of vehicles driven by senior citizens (ages 50 and older).

Chicagoland MG Club member Jim Vondran coordinates the Triad car safety clinic each Spring and Autumn. The event grows each year as the Triad organization’s outreach to seniors continues to expand. Seniors are often subjected to unscrupulous mechanics who try to get the seniors to have unnecessary extra services. We rely heavenly on the club members to evaluate the seniors’ vehicles and advise them as to what may or may not need attention.

Volunteers from the CMGC, the Chicago area Model T Club and the Windy City Miata Club help in servicing and inspecting the vehicles.

Vintage and antique cars will again be on display: most are vehicles owned by our volunteer “car guys” who help preform the inspections. After their vehicles are inspected, seniors are welcome to park their cars and view the “classic and vintage” vehicles.
