DESCRIPTION:The British Car Show Will Take Place On Saturday – June 13th. \nEligible cars are those that were manufactured in the United Kingdom including Northern Ireland. They can be of any age or condition and typically we have a large variety of make\, age and condition.\nWe hope you will arrive early enough on Saturday to be registered by 9:30am\nNOTE: The car show area is all black top\, not grass. If you are planning on bringing a tent\, please bring sandbags to hold it down.\nRegistration:\nOnline registration is $30 plus optional 3% to help cover the payment processing fees.\nhttps://chicagoscots.org/festival/carshow/registration/\nFor each car registered you will receive two (2) Saturday Adult Admission tickets to the Games. SUMMARY:2026 Spring - Triad Car Care Safety Clinic for Seniors\, May 9th
DESCRIPTION:The safety clinic provides a free 40-point safety inspection of vehicles driven by senior citizens (ages 50 and older). \nChicagoland MG Club member Jim Vondran coordinates the Triad car safety clinic each Spring and Autumn. The event grows each year as the Triad organization’s outreach to seniors continues to expand. Seniors are often subjected to unscrupulous mechanics who try to get the seniors to have unnecessary extra services. We rely heavenly on the club members to evaluate the seniors’ vehicles and advise them as to what may or may not need attention.\nVolunteers from the CMGC\, the Chicago area Model T Club and the Windy City Miata Club help in servicing and inspecting the vehicles. \nVintage and antique cars will again be on display: most are vehicles owned by our volunteer “car guys” who help preform the inspections. DESCRIPTION:CMGC members are invited to tune up your MG’s for the 2026 driving season. \n\nFor the 12th year we will meet at Don’s Auto Ade in Warrenville. Start time will be 10:00 am this year. This is your chance to change the motor oil\, radiator fluids\, check brakes and get a good look underneath your MG. This is a great opportunity to use the resources available to see if there are any issues to take care of before getting your MG on the road for 2025. Six service racks will be available for our use.\nThere is an Advance Auto Parts store nearby for any parts you might need and remember to bring your own fluids\, filters and other supplies. There will be plenty of members on hand to offer advice and assist. Sam from Don’s will be available to mount and balance tires\, including those on wire wheels\, and do alignments for a reasonable fee. If you need tires or batteries call ahead so that they can be ordered.\nCheck in with Dave “Cowboy” Bralich before starting any major projects. If you have time afterwards members will be gathering at a local restaurant nearby for food\, beverage and conversation.\n \n  \n

DESCRIPTION:Sponsored by the Chicagoland MG Club \nThis is a fantastic annual event that the CMGC has been sponsoring since 1997. Since 1997. This event will once again be held at the DuPage County Fairgrounds in Wheaton\, Illinois in early spring. \n\n  \n  \n\nVendors hurry and get your registration in early. All vendors will be indoors\, within a heated facility that is centrally located approximately 30 miles due west of downtown Chicago. Click on the Google map link to the right for directions.\n  \n  \nGate Admission tickets will be $7. Kids 12 and under (accompanied by an adult) are still free. As always\, parking is free. Check the Chicago area Craigslist for Swap Meet vendor posting under ‘Auto Parts’. There will be a food vendor on site and an ATM in the building. DESCRIPTION:Inspect your MG cars and grab some chili! \nThe Fall Tune Down & Chili Party hosted by Dave “Cowboy” Bralich will take place on Sunday\, November 2nd. This will be the 16th time Dave has hosted this event and is open to CMGC members that want to take advantage of looking under\, over\, and around your MG\, along with the help of other CMGC members that want to tinker with each car that pulls into the garage.\nDo you know what your winter project will be? If not\, this is a perfect time to gather in Dave’s garage and make use of the low-lift hoist to do some underbody inspection. I am sure we can find something that should be fixed\, adjusted\, or replaced to determine what your winter project will look like in order to have completed before next year’s driving season. With this being the end of the driving season it could be a good time for an oil change\, some tune-up work\, or minor repairs. Bring your own parts\, oil and a jug for disposal (yes\, you will take your old oil away). \nIf you are set with your upcoming winter project and just want to lend a hand\, stop by anyway. SUMMARY:2025 - Fall Triad Car Care Safety Clinic for Seniors\, Oct. 11th
DESCRIPTION:The safety clinic provides a free 40-point safety inspection of vehicles driven by senior citizens (ages 50 and older). \nChicagoland MG Club member Jim Vondran coordinates the Triad Car Safety Clinic each Spring and Autumn. The event grows each year as the Triad organization’s outreach to seniors continues to expand. Seniors are often subjected to unscrupulous mechanics who try to get the seniors to have unnecessary extra services. We rely heavenly on the club members to evaluate the seniors’ vehicles and advise them as to what may or may not need attention.\nVolunteers from the CMGC\, the Chicago area Model T Club and the Windy City Miata Club help in servicing and inspecting the vehicles. \nVintage and antique cars will again be on display: most are vehicles owned by our volunteer “car guys” who help preform the inspections. DESCRIPTION:With more than 250 beautiful cars\, this is one of the largest celebrations of British automotive design and engineering in the United States.  \nIn addition to the cars\, the festival features a variety of classic car parts vendors\, presentations\, tech workshops\, authentic British food and new car dealers showcasing the latest imports from Great Britain. \nAdmission for the general public is free\, with donations encouraged for Shelter\, Inc.\, which is a non-profit dedicated to providing community based\, emergency and longer-term housing for abused and neglected children. \nParticipant registration fee is $30 before August 25th\, $35 after and day of the festival. Prizes are awarded. \nYour can register: Register British Car Union\nThe British Car Festival is organized by the British Car Union\, which is a non-profit founded in 1986. It consists of representatives from 20 different Chicagoland British car clubs whose sole purpose is to coordinate the events critical to making the British Car Festival a success each September.
