MGB V8 conversion - project car
Description
This car came to me with a Hawaiian title in the late 1980’s and was one of the first MGB V8 conversion cars assembled in the Chicago area when crafted in the early 1990’s. This car was on the road throughout the 1990’s and then put into storage in 2000 for 15 years. It has been subsequently subjected to an on-again, off-again refurbishment effort since then. This is a project car: needs some parts and some TLC to be completed. It currently has a 1961 Buick 215cc engine (recent rebuild) and a B/W T-50 5-speed trans. All newer brake hydraulic and friction items. Numerous custom touches to overcome routine challenges. Comes with many extra parts to include 2 complete Buick 215ci engines, and more. Due to age and other lifestyle changes, I have lost interest in completing and possessing this project. It needs wiring work, paint detailing, new top, new gauges, new tires, possible trans work, and a thorough shakedown and vetting of all systems before being put on the highway. This should not be regarded as a “restored” car. This car is being sold “as is” and should be regarded as a “project car” with nothing taken for granted until proven out by testing. Call, text or email to Jim 630-209-8602. Price $8,000
