Chicago MG Holiday Party
co-hosted by Chicagoland MG Club and Vintage MG Club of Chicago
at Elmcrest Banquets in Elmwood Park, IL - December 6, 2008

This year's Holiday Party was a cooperative venture co-hosted by the Chicagoland MG Club and the Vintage MG Club of Chicago. There were about 90 people in attendance for cash bar happy hour followed by banquet dinner. There was a presentation by the Abingdon Players of a skit revived from nearly 20 years earlier. A happy go lucky couple were touring in their MG when it broke down and left them wondering what on earth to do. A couple of folks from the local MG club stumble onto the scene and help out by fixing the car on the spot, showing that it's good to have friends with a common interest. Go, go car clubs. There was a jolly good grab bag style gift exchange, give one and get one deal, and lots of door prizes to go around. A good time was had by all, and maybe it had to end too early, but perhaps we can do it again next year.
