The fall color tour route is now set. We will set out at 10:30 am but we should all start gathering at the Grosse Point lighthouse around 10. The grounds are really quite something so it's worth it to come early to enjoy the scenery. Then we will take off down Sheridan Road heading North. Basically just sit back and enjoy the winding road and the colors all the way up into Racine Wisconsin, where Sheridan road ends (or rather changes names). Once in Racine we'll turn left onto 16th Street and left again onto Taylor Ave and head south to Kenosha where we'll stop at the Baker Street Restaurant and pub which features an excellent menu and variety of beers (12 on tap, 21 bottled) and 9 wines. Afterward you have your choice. Directions will be provided to get to I-94 East but you can take Greenbay Road back or re-trace Sheridan Road (that would be my first choice).

To get to Grosse Point Lighthouse from the west 'burbs take I-94 west to Old Orchard Road. Take Old Orchard Road East to Crawford and turn right. Take Crawford South to Church and turn Left. Take Church east to Sheridan Road and turn left. Take Sheridan Road North past Northwestern University. There will be a sign by the road on your right saying Evanston Arts Center marking the driveway into the parking lot. From the south there is no better or fun way than to take Lake Shore Drive north to where it ends and turn right. Then go down Sheridan road all the way to the light house. Hope to see you soon.
