The club donation of 48 model kits and 50/50 raffle proceeds was delivered to the boys in time for the holidays. We were unable to go there for a tour however. Mercy Home is undergoing a major expansion program which will about double their capacity to around 160 boys. Given the construction environment of the facility at this time, visitors are not allowed. Arrangements were made to meet for a transfer of the gifts to a representative of Mercy Home. She expressed her thanks to the CMGC for the club interest in Mercy Home, and promised a tour opportunity in the spring when construction work was completed. I was told that they have a display case of kits built by the boys from our donation of 5 years ago. I can't wait to see it! Thanks to all club members who helped to make this Christmas a little better for the boys at Mercy Home.
