Happy New Year! Today is January 1, and Ann and I just got back from a drive in the MG. We are enjoying these bonus days. The sun is shining and it is in the mid forties.
The Christmas party was Sunday, December 10th. Those of you who attended know Ann and I didn’t get there. Our Neon was rear ended on way there and we spent the evening in the ER at Good Samaritan. Bill and Sally Hedrick and Bob Simon stayed with us for comfort and moral support. Russ and Amy Mehaffey worked with Dave Ransom to arrange to have our dinners packed to go and Russ and Amy were going to drop them off at the hospital. Kim and Diane Tonry live nearby and offered to bring the dinners to us. We got home around 11PM and the six of us sat at our table and enjoyed a belated Christmas dinner. We are recovering nicely now, but I wanted to thank everyone who thought of us in their calls, letters, and prayers. As I have said many times, some of the nicest people drive MG’s. We appreciate being able to call you friends.
The first big social event of 2007 is the annual AMTRAK trip organized by Jake and Ann Snyder. We have our tickets purchased and hotel reservations made. We are looking forward to another fun weekend with members of the Club.
Ann and I are working on Wine, Cheese, and Beer Tour 2007. I love looking around for MG roads. There are lots of them around. I am expanding the areas where we are looking. We have some ideas that will surprise you.
I want to take this opportunity to thank all of you for your support and assistance during the last two years. We have had many memorable journeys with you and we look forward to many more.
