Welcome to the New Year! I hope everyone had enjoyable Holidays and this finds all safe, healthy and “well-lubed”!
The weather has been very cooperative – maybe we should start planning winter tours to compliment the other spring, summer and fall events. I even found time for a drive from our old home to the new one (failed generator/voltage regulator and all). Running only on the battery, the chill kept the top up but my main concern was darkness. Daylight growing short plus heavy overcast, I was still able to keep the lights off…until 3 miles from home when a truck pulled out in front of me. Brakes still work great!
Amy and I are well settled after the move – unpacked and decorated for Christmas within 3 days of after the truck dropped us off. I left the most important stuff for last, though and didn’t unpack the garage stuff until New Year’s weekend. Gotta find time to work on the generator.
As you will see in this issue, if not on the website already, the CMGC election results have been tallied. I want to congratulate Jim Evans as Chairman and Reinout Vogt as Treasurer. Doug Clark and I will continue as Secretary and Vice-Chairman respectively and we all look forward to a terrific MG year.
See you all on the road! Be safe!
