2/21/00 MEETING REPORT
Tom Josefek, Diana Gonzales, Steven Selan and Sharon Anderson called the meeting to order at 8: l0 P.M. with 40 members in attendance.
OLD BUSINESS
Awards Banquet: Diana Gonzales reported that 40 people attended the Banquet at Superossa in Woodridge. At the Banquet the new officers were installed, and reports were made by each of the officers. Club Secretary Steve Selan announced that Club membership now stands at 365 members. Barney Gaylord was announced as Assistant Webmaster. Steve also advised that the year 2000 Membership Directory would be produced and available some time this summer. Sharon Anderson advised that Club finances were healthy with anticipated revenues from membership dues and the Swap Meet on the horizon. She can be contacted for the exact figures if so desired. Tom Josefek announced that Dave Bralich would assume a new Club position as Technical Coordinator. His job will be to schedule and run Tech Seminars and field all technical questions from members. Tom also presented suggestions to help increase attendance at road rallies with his 'each one, reach one" program. Following these presentations Club Awards and Driving Awards were presented.
NEW BUSINESS
Swap Meet: Jim Evans announced that 77 vendor spots have been sold and that we will occupy two buildings at the DuPage County Fairgrounds this year. We anticipate in excess of 800 attendees if the weather cooperates. The event is scheduled for February 27th and volunteers were solicited at the meeting.
Al Piemonte Tech Session: Dave Bralich advised that the first Tech Seminar of the year would be held March 4th at 8:00am at Al Piemonte Ford. Club member Ray Glorioso will reassemble an MGB transmission.
Grill Badges: Curt Bork advised again that the new revised, improved grill badges are available in limited quantities for $25.00 each. Contact Larry Daniels, our new Regalia Chairman for purchase.
Dues: Steven Selan advised that dues are now due for the year 2000 and must be received by May 15 to remain an active member. Envelopes will be included in the next issue of the Driveline. New membership flyers are now available should you have any friends who wish to join the Club. We will have a table at the Swap Meet where we can expect to sign up at least a dozen new members. Larry Daniels and his wife graciously agreed to work the event.
Regalia: Larry Daniels advised that he would be ordering new Club baseball caps, teeshirts, sweatshirts, golf shirts and other Club paraphernalia hopefully to be available within the next 30 days.
