Diana Gonzales and Steven Selan called the meeting to order at 8:10 P.M. 42 members were present; 4 new members and guests attended the meeting (Dean Swanson, Stephen
Piepenbrink, Rick Hamaker and Ed Eggleston).
OLD BUSINESS
Christmas Party: Diana Gonzales reported that the Christmas party was well attended with a lot of positive feedback from those who attended. It appears that we will be holding the Year 2000 Christmas party at the same location if we can get a reservation for the appropriate date.
Grill Badges: Curt Bork advised that the new and improved badges have finally come in and are now available to the membership for $22 each. Contact Curt if you are interested. We ordered 100 of which approximately one-half are already sold.
NEW BUSINESS
Awards Banquet: Now scheduled for Sunday, February 20 at 6:30pm at Superossa Ristorante in Woodridge. Club and Drivers' Awards, as well as installation of the new officers, will take place at that meeting.
Swap Meet: Jim Evans advised that preparation is well under way for the Fourth Annual
Swap Meet scheduled for February 27th from 8:00am to 3:00pm at the DuPage County Fairgrounds in Wheaton.
Train Trip: Jake and Ann Snyder regaled us with tales of a successful Amtrak road trip to the Walter P. Chrysler Museum in Auburn Hills, Michigan over the weekend of February 21st and 22nd. Eight club members attended, staying at the historic Greenfield Inn. A good time was had by all.
Camping Trip: Jake and Ann also advised that preparations are well under way for our
Annual Camping Trip at the Vintage car races at Elkart Lake, Wisconsin for the weekend of July 21st through 23rd. Eight campsites have been reserved and accommodate 32 adults. A $25 deposit per person must be made if you intend to reserve a site. Contact Jake for further information. These reservations go fast, so do not delay or you will be disappointed! (One member of our Club has already postponed his nuptials so he can attend this gala event.)

The membership thanks Lesley and Don for their help in tabulating the votes and wishes the new officers a good year.

30th. Your cooperation in mailing them early would be appreciated.
