The Steering Column

Well I did it. If you read my article from last month you will remember that my goal was to get my 67 back on the road by the Spring Tune-up session. I made it with two weeks to spare. Today is the Monday after the Spring Tune-up and as normal, “Yesterday was great”. The weather cleared and everyone (not counting the GT’s) left with their tops down.

The monthly club meetings are growing. I am very glad to see so many faces each month. Now that the driving season is definitely here, I am expecting to see and meet more of you each month. The week of May 20-26th is national “Drive Your British Car” week. Which just so happens to be the same time as our monthly club meeting (May 21). I hope to see a LOT of MG’s that night.

One major change that is coming up this year is with the Annual British Car Festival in September. The location is changing. This is the 15th year of the show and would have been the 14th time at Oakton College. It is going to move to Moraine Valley Community College in Palos Hills. There will be a lot more on this in future Drivelines and at out monthly meetings.
