AUTOCROSS AT THE UTICA TRACK !!!
For you die hard Utica fans, this is it, no more Utica autocross after this one. The track is closing PERMANENTLY about the end of July, so lets all get out and make the best of what we have left while it’s still there.
Details for this event are the same as for the June 25th event, with one exception. Rather than having the traditional two-lap timed runs we will be staging an enduro run. It is likely that each driver will be allowed at least one short practice run on the track, after which each driver will have one long continuous run of at least 5 laps (maybe even 10 laps) for best time. If there are not too many drivers and time allows, there just might be enough time to do it all again. Otherwise there may be time for some fun runs before we have to bid our fond farewells to this track forever.
As usual, we will retire to Duffy’s Tavern for the post event social hour. We hope to see you all there for this epic event.
Location: Just on the South side of I-80 at exit 81
a few miles east of I-39.
A Caravan will form up at at the Mannards parking lot
in Bolingbrook on IL-53 just south of I-55.
Departure will be at 9:00 a.m. sharp
Arrival at the track about 10:00 a.m.
Registration and tech immediately upon arrival.
BRING A HELMET IF YOU HAVE ONE
Entry fee $12 per driver - Two drivers may share one car.
Driver’s meeting will be held at 10:30 a.m.
Track walk immediately after the drivers meeting.
First car off about 11:00 a.m.
Finish and trophy presentation about 3:30 p.m.
