The meeting wass called to order by Wade Keene at 8:08PM. There were 43 members present and no guests. We had no new members present.
PAST EVENTS
Curt Bork hosted a picnic at his farm on August 1. 81 people attended along with 37 cars. British Boots and Bonnets from Rockford had the largest attendance. Members from the Chicagoland MG Club and the Vintage club also joined the festivities.
There was a tech session at Dean Swanson’s. Approximately 10 members showed up to help him get his car on the road after 18 months.
DaveLieb amd Clint Whiteway attended the Miata Autocross in South Bend.
The University Motors Summer Party Reunion was held 8/13 to 8/15 in Grand Rapids. We had perfect weather for the party. There were in excess of 500 MG’s there. The club wishes to acknowledge Jake and Ann Snyder and Roger and Shirley Goebbert for their running of the hospitality tent. This is the largest gathering of MG’s outside of England.
UPCOMING EVENTS
There will be an autocross August 29 in Warrenville.
The British Car Union Fest will be Sept 12th. There will be over 200 MG’s in attendance. This is the largest all British car show in the country. We are looking for volunteers to help for an hour or so. If you wish to help, please contact Ed Milsch.
Jim Evans will be hosting a door skin replacement on 9/18.
There will be an autocross at Joliet Junior College on 9/19.
Our annual Abingdon MG Weekend will be 9/24-26. Check our website or contact Jim Evans for information.
Our Fall Color Tour will be 10/3.
The Abingdon Endurance Trials will be 10/9-10.
An autocross will be held 10/17 at Joliet Junior College.
The Halloween Rally will be 10/31.
REPORTS
Tools: We now have a hydraulic puller (Portapower) and a stud welder. Contact Jim Evans if you with to use these or any other tools in our tool chest.

Dave Lieb reported on the library.
Mike Hirsch won the 50/50 raffle. Prize was $21.
A program on endurance rallying followed the meeting.
