Tech session at the Eberhardt's
We had a good bunch of people come to help resurrect the Eberhardt's '74 MGB on the 27th of August. Or at least get a good start on it. We got the engine started and running, which is saying something after sitting for nine years. The engine had pretty good compression, around 135 lbs per cylinder and getting spark wasn't a problem. Getting the starter to do its thing took a bit of work. Once we got the carbs cleaned up so they could feed the engine and the fuel pump points cleaned up from sitting we had fuel, the third ingredient in a running engine. Kylie Eberhardt literally jumped for joy when she heard her car first run. A couple of us stuck around late to help get a start on the brakes as well. I personally was glad to help get a member of the younger generation behind the wheel of an MG.
