Okay, you’ve all heard it.. “Where did the year go?” Well let me tell ya’. It was one heck of a year for the CMGC! I think I counted 41 events - 23 driving events traveling as far as Gettysburg, 5 competition events with 1st place taken in at least one of them, 10 social activities some involving a rally. Some events didn’t make the official calendar but were participated by members anyway. Not to mention the many ‘kick the tires’ technical events in Steve Skaggs’s garage. If you didn’t experience any of these events …. Well, maybe this coming year is your year.
The Chicagoland MG Club is a member driving club with many events – social and competitive – to satisfy any desire to drive our British cars. The 2019 Driving Calendar of Events is starting to be formed now. If you have any thoughts on an activity the club should be involved, let Jamie know. Maybe you could be the one to develop a new venue or activity we haven’t yet pursued. Organizing an event is not an easy task, but there are plenty of members that can provide guidance in how to set it up. You are not alone.
Next year at this time when you hear, “where did the year go?” you can say, “Remember the good time we had at ..…”
See you on the road…
