Monthly Column of Driving Events

April showers bring May flowers….so the saying goes…..and it is pretty true! My tulips around our tree are peeking out!! A TRUE SIGN THAT SPRING IS HERE!!!!!

If we can stay above 50 and have sunny days with some showers – the flowers will all wake up and SPRING will officially be in full swing!!!! It will also make for beautiful scenic views for our Wonderful driving events coming up this month!!!

Guys, roll up your sleeves, pack up your tools, and make sure you don’t miss out on Saturday, April 20th for the Spring Tune up, starting at 12:00pm at Don’s Auto Ade in Warrenville, IL.

One last reminder to mark down on your calendar and RSVP for the Spring Brunch tour on Sunday, April 28th. All the details and RSVP sheets are in this month’s issue.

There are 2 (two) events coming up in the month of May.
The Car Care Safety Clinics for Seniors will take place on Saturday, May 11th organized by Jim Vondran. All the club members who have participated in this event always have a great time conversing and helping out the seniors with their cars. Hope many of you make it this year!!! All the details are in this month’s newsletter.

 




Please try to attend this NEW and adventurous driving event –
The MGs on the Oregon Trail Tour! This exciting event is hosted and organized by Doug Clark. It takes place on Thursday May 16th through Sunday, May 19th. There is a FULL Agenda for all 3 days and beautiful roads to drive on this tour!! All the details are in this month’s newsletter.

You know, June is not that far off and if you didn’t book a room yet, you are out of luck at the main lodging location—Gray Wolf Lodge.

But wait…. Our President - Dean Hickenlooper— has secured a location near the event site at The Baymont by Wyndham in Traverse City. Good news, but you need to act now. Contact Dean if you were planning to attend the event — one, two, multiple days — so he can finalize plans to caravan to MG 2019. 335 miles may seem like a long way, but travel with the group, and be assured of arriving safely.

The event is packed with driving tours, eating events, technical sessions, car show, and many more activities.
