Autocross

Well the 2017 Autocross season is off to a terrible start. Our first event with the Windy City Miata Club was rained out. Thank you to the folks at WCMC for the notice before we set out for the track. Also the next scheduled autocross event with the Austin-Healey club has been canceled because, they lost their venue. So our next currently scheduled Autocross event is July 15th with the Windy City Miata Club. Maybe Tim will have his midget fixed by then. I’ve started looking at some other options for events we might add to make up for the lost two autocrosses. But, we are getting into our busy driving season and I feel it’s important to support the other club activities. So far most of the available dates have conflicts with other club events.

I’m looking for other options. Including the idea of sponsoring our own autocross. That will need a lot of club support and a good location. If you’re interested in helping out or know of a large parking lot we can use. Let me know. I’m told the club has both cones and a timer system collecting dust at Bill’s house
