The Neutralizer - The Return of Sir William (Part 4 of 4)
"FINAL CONTACT"

By Ralph Arata

The Neutralizer lay hidden in his black combat camos and painted face. A creature unseen and unheard in the dark confines of a north-western Connecticut forest. Having watched Sir William’s farm house compound for the last several hours, the soldier was aware of the 2 centuries walking in concentric circles one clockwise and the other counter clockwise passing each other every 7 minutes. It was just passed 3AM and the activity in the farmhouse had settled down for over 2 hours. Sir William’s forces were quiet with only the occasional changing of the guard which would not occur for another 40 minutes……..time to act!

The soldier crept forward thru the thick underbrush. The 44 mag Dessert Eagle strapped tightly to side holster. The Beretta 93R set at 3 round burst for close quarters firing. The soldier’s main assault gun, the H&K MP-5 sub gun strapped to his back in the quick draw sling. Up and now running the black ops predator took out century #1 with a quick chop to a pressure point in the hard guys neck. The Neutralizer pulled him to side out of immediate sight. Approaching sentry #2 the soldier saw the glow of cigarette. “Those things are bad for your health” thought Arata as his garrotte slung around the hard guy’s neck.

There were 5 more hard guys plus Sir William in the house. This work would be fast and furious- go in guns blazing to free the senators daughter before anyone could get to her. Arata checked his watch. “Still 25 minutes until the sentry change” the soldier said to himself. One by one he checked each window. Kitchen was empty but next door in a large room cots were setup in dormitory style with four of Sir William’s people there. The next window was a living-type room – no one present. As the soldier moved along the farm house he came to a bedroom and there he saw the girl and one of Sir William’s men. The congressmen's daughter was hand cuffed to a bed. The Neutralizer rounded the house and came upon another bedroom. There, apparently sleeping very peacefully was the man himself….Sir William. The farm house structure was New Orleans shotgun style architecture which told the Neutralizer he would simply have to blow through the front and run, gun blazing to the bedroom where the girl was being kept. Sir William would only be a second hand target of opportunity as the primary mission was the rescue.

The soldier brought up his sub gun and broke thru the door. Two hard guys were up getting ready for their turn at sentry duty. They reached for leather just a second too late as the Neutralizer stitched them both with a figure 8 pattern of 42 calibre lead. Then something happened a split second later as Arata was nailed against the wall with a full size bed frame. Behind was a 6'7" Goliath. 5 inches taller and 200 lbs heavier than the soldiers 200lb frame. The sub gun dropped and the soldier's gun hand went numb. As the Goliath bore done apparently to crush the Neutralizer his left hand went for the Tanto knife strapped to his left leg. He drove the knife deep into the Goliath's shoulder and with a slight maddening sound of anger the giant took 2 steps back. It took only a second for Goliath to come charging. Arata drove the 8" Tanto combat knife into his right femur and the hard guy fell to one knee. The soldier drew the Israeli Dessert Eagle left handed to a 44 cal parabellum placed itself neatly between his eyes.

Time lost! Sir William and 3 of his agents were already headed for the barn and the Chargers. The Neutralizer hit the remote self driver on the "B" and gave Dave "Hard Drive" Novak a silent compliment of praise. The Neutralizer ran outside to see the 2 Dodge Hellcats throttling out toward Route 7. A moment later the soldier's MGB arrived with its race-prepared engine hot and ready to roar! The soldier jumped into the driver's seat placing the HK MP5 sub gun on the passenger seat. The NITTO NT555 G2 tires grabbed for pay-dirt and the MG was in hot pursuit. One Hellcat held back as Sir William obviously wanted the soldier eliminated while giving his own Dodge extra time for the get-away on RT 7 toward the Mass line. 2 hard men were in the car and 1 came out the passenger window AK47 in hand. He sprayed the B and the full metal jacket ammo went right thru the front fender but no other harm done as the Neutralizer steered hard left.

The soldier then hit the gas and the light weight MG with its turbo charged 2 litre engine surged forward. The gunman in the Dodge never expected this little British car to be so fast. As they gazed at the tiny convertible with mouths open they had no time to react to the Hellcat being filled with lead. The Dodge vied off the road into the Connecticut forest. The soldier hit the gas and the thirsty MG shot forward. The British car covered the winding road with ease as its G2 tires and rack/pinion handled the New England road just as "The Doctor" had said.

Suddenly around a curve was the other Hellcat parked neatly to the side....ambush as Sir William was well aware of the failure of his henchmen. Sir William had to attack as it was his only way out and attack he did. Auto fire came from both sides of the road peppering the "B" with lead. The 2 henchmen came from the right and left their Street Sweeper shot guns shot blazing. The soldier slammed the MG in reveres and cover 50 yards in split seconds. The Neutralizer jumped from "B" with the sub gun up and tracking to the left stitching that gunman head to toe. The second went for cover as the soldier ran forward ramming a new 30 round clip home. Same result as the hard man was hit in the left shoulder and as he fell also took to final rounds.
