  Monthly Meeting Minutes
August 20, 2018

Victor Lheureux 26 Members in attendance

  CMGC President Dean Hickenlooper opened the meeting at 7:59 pm. Father/Son team joined us this evening. They are Steve & Tom Nelson of Glen Ellyn and Wheaton respectively. They own a 1977 white MGB that hasn’t run in 20 years. They are on a mission to get back on the road again. Also visiting after a long hiatus is Frank Abbinanti of Villa Park. Frank has a 1953 MG TD that has been idle for 4 years; and Ray Brewson of Huntly. Ray has a MGB-GT and a newly purchased MGTD.

  Dean noted the meeting agenda would be modified going forward to start with the Staff Reports and club business before the break & 50/50 raffle.

Staff Reports
Finance
– Treasurer Phil Wydra noted the club is in good shape with $6,184 in checking and $19,243 in savings. For a total of $25,427.
Library – Bill Mennell – nothing new to report
Regalia – George Phariss reiterated that Fieldhouse closed operation in July. George has ordered some items with the new vendor with no issues,
Driveline Editor – Victor L’Heureux requested that all Driving Event sponsors submit 2 months in advance any info of an upcoming event, so it can be publicized.

Car Projects
Dean Hickenlooper
– finished replacing the top.
Frank Abbinanti – received plenty of start-up suggestions and the Garage Team will set up a session to go over the car.
Victor L’Heureux – updated his progress in a gearbox replacement. All parts are in the car and now working out a few bugs.

New Business
Doug Clark
presented to the membership an idea to have a Members Choice award for the best Driving Event for the year. CMGC Staff will discuss farther the implementation of this award.
Dean Hickenlooper is setting up a small committee to investigate what would be required to update and modernize the existing CMGC Website. Volunteers are asked to contact Dean.

  Break/ 50:50 raffle – CMGC member – Frank Abbinanti -- was the winner of $30.

  With no further business to discuss, president Dean Hickenlooper closed the meeting at 9:10 pm.
