Join Bob Dorley and Tim Schafer for the ALL Aboard tour. Bob and I have planned a repeat of last year’s tour to the Illinois Railway Museum. I will be out of town for this tour so Bob will be hosting it with Tim Schafer helping him out.

This will be a fairly short drive to the museum via a number of country roads. We’ll meet at the Meijer Foods (815 S. Randall Rd. Elgin) parking lot near the Starbucks coffee house.

Meeting time is 10 am with the drivers meeting at 10:30am. Lunch will be available at the museum in their Dinner (cafeteria). They offer burgers, Hot dogs, BBQ beef, and Chicken sandwiches. Since the museum is a non-for-profit I suggest we buy our lunch there to help support the museum.

I expect the drive to take about an hour. Admission to the museum is $10.00 per person. We will be allowed to park our cars inside the museum grounds. The museum will be open until 5pm. So we should have lots of time to explore the exhibits and ride the trains. We hope that they will still have the steam train running this year.

Triad Fall Car Care Safety Clinic for Seniors October 13, 2018 - 8:00 A.M. to 12:00 noon It’s hard to believe that summer flew by so quickly. On Saturday, October 13th, we will be performing our pre-winter vehicle checks for our senior drivers. The location is Lisle Township, 4711 Indiana Ave, Lisle, IL 60532 from 8:00 a.m. to noon. These clinics, held in Spring and Fall each year, get larger each time it’s held. As always, an operation like this requires volunteers to help with the inspections. Chicagoland MG club members have always been a key element to the success of these events, serving on vehicle inspection teams as well as displaying their vehicles for our seniors. 2018 Halloween Rally Sunday October 28, 2018 The Halloween Rally for 2018 will take place on Sunday October 28th. Starting point will be the Panara Bread at The Arboretum of South Barrington located on the Northeast corner of Rt. 59 (Sutton Rd.) and Rt. 72 (Higgins Rd.) Drivers meeting at 10:00, departure at 10:30. Volunteers needed.
