Monthly Meeting Minutes
October 21, 2019

Meeting opened at 7:05

Treasurers’ Report: Jim Compton reported $5,751 in checking and $18,249 in savings.

Library: Bill Mennell reminded members to email him for library requests.

New Members: Dale Chobak from Bolingbrook with a 74 MGB, and John Poznausky from Addison with a 74 MG.

Car Projects: Dave Bralich has replaced the rings in his MG and will be installing the engine on Friday November 1st if anyone would like to assist. Ray Hansen is looking for technical help in replacing his clutch hydraulic kit. Steve Sparks is pulling the engine on his midget in order to install a five-speed transmission. Jim Evans raised a question about rubber gaskets issues with a Moss master cylinder he is replacing. Chuck Schaefer is working on a 79 B, hoping to get it on the road. Tom Kolody has a broken key in the steering column and was looking for advice. Dean Hickenlooper installed new hydrogen head lights in his B and had to upgrade the wiring and relay.

Driving Coordinator: Jamie Schafer provided updates on the most recent events, Wine Cheese and Beer, Volo Car Trip, and Senior Car Care Clinic. She had planners give an update on future events. The Halloween Rally, Fall Tune Down, Cruise to the Rock and Amtrak Trip.

   





Break/ 50:50 raffle. – Phil Wydra won $84, $36 from the September rollover and $48 from the October raffle. Phil gave $20 back for the November raffle.

Nominations: Dave Bralich nominated all the current officers to remain. Dean Hickenlooper declined the presidency after serving for two years. Dean nominated Phil Wydra for president. Phil accepted the nomination. No other nominations.

Membership: Victor L’Heureux reported 267 members with 168 receiving the printed Driveline.

Dean Hickenlooper announced a dues increase next year for members wishing to receive the Driveline. Dues for members not receiving the Driveline will not change.

Meeting adjourned 8:11 followed by cake and champagne to celebrate the club’s 43rd anniversary.
