All the leaves are brown, and the sky is gray.....could be a song. Fall is here, and winter is soon to arrive. Only a few more chilly rides left before its time to put in the gas stabilizer fill the tank and tuck'em in for the winter. But wait what about the winter projects that have been put off all summer long and promised that they would be completed. Well Christmas is coming, and the Goose is getting fat and I've been a good boy so I'm making a long list for Santa (Moss Europe) in hopes of getting the parts I need. Yes, that's right Moss Europe I've found the price even with shipping to be the same or cheaper than other vendors. Also, true British made parts and not the cheap China aftermarket gunk. They also have a larger variety of parts.

On another note it's been a great year and an awesome driving season. Thanks to all who took time out of their busy schedules to plan rally's and tour for the members of the club to enjoy. This is really what makes the club when you have member who are willing to volunteer of their time and talents making The Chicagoland MG Club second to none.

I would also like to thank all the members of the club for your support this past year helping me in my position in the club. The Board of Directors and other volunteers; Driving Coordinator, Tool Master, Librarian, Driveline Editor, Regalia, Tech & Facebook Coordinators, Toolmaster, Partsmaster, Webmaster and all the others who make the club such a success! Oops almost forgot The Traveling Mechanics! It's been a pleasure serving you. Here's hoping you have a Great New Year. May you MG's always start and hold enough oil to get you home. CHEERS

from our Vice-President

I can’t believe the 2018 driving season is over. I had a lot of fun.

Last month I told you about the prototype of my spray can organizer. Well I did build a full sized version. I also built a roll around worktable that I bolted the full size spray can holder atop. Well it has worked out fairly well. I ended up making the lower cabinet taller than I had originally planned and now I can’t fit this assembly through the garage door. But oh well! If folks are interested and I get a little time I’ll draw up the plans and share them.

Looking forward to the 2019 driving season. We’ve got a lot of options. Some of our old regular events are being retired. But more new events are being planned.

We have NAMGBR 2019 in Traverse City Michigan. I am planning on attending. Also the Sleeping Bear Dune National Park is only about an hour away and the Gerald Ford Presidential library is in Grand Rapids, both are well worth a visit.

Please be sure to vote for your club officers and I hope you remembered to vote for your choice of favorite driving event. I’m sorry Doug I forgot. See you all in 2019.

Well till next month. Thank you all!   Safety Fast
