Wow, 2019 - what a year! Club events started with the annual Amtrak trip to Kalamazoo Auto Zoo followed with the Swap Meet in March. The Driving season started off with a car preparation at the Spring Tune-up followed by a number of road trips - the Spring Tour, Cruise to Blackhawk along the Oregon Trail and the Land’s End Rally.
Many new trip adventures started this year with the LaGrange Pet Parade, a day at the races at Arlington Racetrack, and a trip to the Volo Car Museum. Conventions were held for Pre-war MGs, MGAs, MGBs and MGCs. Community service events were also part of the driving schedule with a Car Care Safety Clinic for Seniors, Peds in the Weeds and Car Safety Clinic for Seniors. Events such as Westmont Cruisin’ Nite, Meadowdale Motorsports & Memories car show and British Car Festival only required you and car to chill and enjoy the comradery of other car enthusiasts.
The infamous Wine, Cheese & Beer Tour, Halloween Rally and Cruise to the Rock finished off the driving events before shutting down for the winter with the Fall Tune Down and Chili party. Needless to say there was something for everyone last year.
See you on the road…
