Why is it we think of Spring so fondly this time of year? Sadly, we are just beginning the slow progress of days getting longer, and reports of cold weather continue the evening news. Some of us retreat to warmer climates - even for a short time - hoping to thaw our bones on a sunny beach.
Actually, this time of year could be utilized for taking care of those nagging maintenance items we put off during the driving season. Maybe check the brakes for wear, inspect the coolant hoses, or maybe just give the interior a good cleaning. Once you’ve identified what need to be addressed, repairs can be accomplished now or schedule yourself for the Spring Tune-up. (I know...April sounds like a long way away). Anyway, give it a thought.
I realize many of us have their car in storage, or don’t have a heated garage to allow being able to physically perform maintenance, but there are still things that can be done. Maybe after identifying maintenance issues, order the necessary parts now so you’ll have them when it’s time to do the repairs. Just a thought.
Don’t forget this month - Valentine’s Day! That’s all for now, and as always... See you on the road.
