Hello MG "LOVERS"!!!!

February brings that "HALLMARK DAY" celebration - SWEET Valentine’s Day! A day to express your love for your spouses, significant others, Pets, and most of all your friendships!!

Fun fact - MY ALL-TIME FAVORITE SONG EVER IS MY FUNNY VALENTINE... so I always get a little sentimental this month! (Just thought I’d let you know that about me) LOL!

It’s always nice to be acknowledged on February 14th, whether receiving flowers, candies, perhaps a glittering shining accessory (jewelry) or just a simple card to express your love to that someone special in your life! Go ahead... cuddle up to your sweetie and let them know how much they mean to you to have them in your life! After all - it’s FREEZING OUT and cuddling up to keep warm sounds pretty good right now!

I am starting to put together the 2022 Calendar of driving events. I have received a few calls and have some tentative dates written in on the calendar. I will have a copy of the calendar out by the end of the month. I will bring some copies to our Monthly club meeting on Monday, February 21st at Mr. Beef and Pizza in Mt. Prospect.

For those of you who do not attend, please reach out to me via email Jamie@jls-industries.com and I will send you a copy. That goes for the Vintage club members as well!

There are NO driving events scheduled in March. The Annual Swap meet is tentatively set for March 27th. There should be more information on that event from Jim Evans in this month’s driveline.

Our "Inaugural" AWARDS BANQUET is now scheduled for Saturday, April 9th at Moretti’s restaurant in Mount Prospect. The MG Awards Banquet Committee, (Doug Clarke, Kerry Hickenlooper and I) had decided that the month of April is a better month, (weather-wise). Also, we are hoping many of you will have your cars back in your garage and possibly drive it out to the Awards Banquet! We would LOVE to see a BIG turnout!!! After all, it’s been a few years since I have been able to present our MAGNIFICANT TROPHIES and other awards!!! All the details and reservation signup sheets will be on the website as well as in this month’s issue.

It’s going to be quite the celebration, so PLEASE try to make it!!! The dinner will be delicious! There will be GREAT DOOR PRIZES, Driving event Awards and the Officers awards will be presented that night as well!!

Tentatively, The Spring Tune-up hosted by Dave Bralich (Cowboy) and Wilbur Mennell is scheduled for Saturday, April 30th. This should be confirmed later this month. Hopefully there will be updates in this month’s issue as well.

The calendar is pretty much open right now and many dates are available in May thru November 2022! Thank you again to those who have reached out to me already to get some dates on the calendars to host and organize their events!

I am really depending on MG and Vintage club members reaching out to me to get an event on the calendar, even if it’s just a gathering of some kind!!! Be creative!!!! And let’s have a BLAST AND SUCCESSFUL DRIVING SEASON THIS YEAR!!!!!!
