Newer Directions Monthly Column of Driving Events

5 February 14th is the day to express our love and admiration to our significant other!!!! The time to let someone know how much they are respected, needed, and loved, a simple gesture of kindness through a note, card, flowers, candy, or a keepsake of some sort. So, guys, gals, remember February 14th this year and let your friend, family member and significant other you are thinking of them on that day!!!!

The ONE THING I LOVE ABOUT Valentines day is the actual Song – MY FUNNY VALENTINE, composed by the INCOMPARABLE Richard Rodgers & Lorenz Hart….(THIS IS HANDS DOWN MY ALL-TIME FAVORITE “STANDARD” SONG)!!!! I will be playing that song all day and night long – sung buy every artist out there!!! (Poor Tim- He’s going to KILL ME!!!!) LOL! But He LOVES ME – so he’ll deal with it!!!

We have one event this month that took place on February 3rd.- February 5th , The Amtrak Road trip which was hosted and organized by Ann & Jake Synder. Although Tim & I did not attend this event, I am SURE it was a WONDERFUL time!! There should be a write up and review in next months news letter with all the details! Can’t wait to see some pictures and hear about all the places they went to!!

There are(2) two events in March. The first event is our 2nd Annual Awards banquet which is organized by Doug Clark. This is scheduled for Saturday March 11th at 12:30pm to 3:30pm at Maggianos restaurant in Oakbrook, IL. This will be a “luncheon” banquet this year which I think is a GREAT IDEA!!!!I am SUPER EXCITED to present the 2022 Driving events awards!! I look forward to seeing MANY of you there for this EXCITING, FUN EVENT!!!!! See the details in this months driveline and website.

The second CLUB event is the Annual Swap Meet organized and hosted by Jim Evans. This will take place on Sunday, March 26th 8:00am – 2:00pm at the DuPage County Fairgrounds in Wheaton, IL. All details will be in this month’s driveline and the website.

Save the date and mark your calendar for the 1st official Event – The Spring Tune up, hosted and organized by Wilbur Mennell – Sunday, April 15th. More information on this in next months driveline and the website.
