Monthly Column of Driving Events

OMG….I had a “COVID BRAIN MOMENT” at our last CMGC ANNUAL BUISNESS MEETING on February 21st! I only talked about the calendar of events for 2022 -which is very “thin” with scheduled driving events right now…but I have FAITH and know I will be getting emails and calls from members scheduling their events later this month and next month!!!!!! RIGHT?????? Thank you to those who have contacted me already and have their events on the calendar!!!

Getting back to my “COVID BRAIN”…..I did not present my annual report for the Driving events for this business meeting!!! UGH!!!!!!

Not only was I completely embarrassed, but that fact that this driving events report is so detailed and takes some time to put together, I was very disappointed that I did not present the information to the members for this meeting. Although everyone gets a copy of the report, I will briefly go over some impressive numbers and total turnouts for the 2021 driving season and of course announce and present the 2021 Moss Motor and Victoria British awards and other awards at our Awards Banquet dinner on April 9th!!

I really hope MOST OF YOU will attend! It’s going to be a FABULOUS EVENT! There will be appetizers and cocktails to start, a delicious Italian buffet dinner, desert, Door Prizes raffled off, a brief website presentation, Officer awards presentation and of course the 2021 Driving events AWARDS!!

I know I have not mentioned winning contenders in any of my past articles – we will let it play out the night of the awards!!! ALL THE MORE REASON TO COME OUT AND CELEBRATE OUR WONDERFUL 2021 DRIVING EVENTS SEASON. The signup sheet and information was listed in last month’s Driveline and will again be listed in this month’s issue. We need a FINAL count NO LATER THAN MARCH 25th.

The Spring Tune-up is scheduled and confirmed for Saturday, April 30th. I know all you guys LOVE kicking off the season with this event!! After all – you get to get your “BABIES” out and tuned up, lubed up and ready to get back on the roads again!!!! The announcement and information is in this month’s driveline.

That’s it for the month of April (so far)!!!! You still have time to get something on the calendar for April should anyone have any plans to put together an impromptu??? Let me know ...

MARK YOUR CALENDARS AND SAVE THE DATE!!!
I am thrilled to announce that the LOVED Chicken Run Rally will once again be hosted and organized by the lovely couple – Ray & Sue Hansen on Sunday May 22nd!!! The announcement will be in this month’s issue with all the details.

I still need to confirm the Car Care Safety Clinic for Seniors tentatively scheduled the beginning of May, organized and hosted by Jim Vondran. I will let you know next month.
